INTRODUCTION

Australian Wine Discovered is exclusively offered in Hong Kong by AWSEC!

Wine Australia is developing a new education program to be widely distributed in international markets. The program aims to increase the perception of, and demand for, Australian wine and wine tourism among consumers and wine trade.

There are 25 programs, under 3 core curriculums, specific to Australian wine ranging from beginner to advanced levels, which include:

Course Gallery:

Foundations of Australian Wine is the first out of 25 programs in the Australian Wine Discovered series, of which the topic framework is specific to Australian wine. 6 wines from different regions in Australia will be tasted. Participants of the program will receive an official certificate issued by Wine Australia acknowledging your attendance.

Semillon is a delicate, versatile white grape variety with a long history in Australia and it’s produced in a range of styles. You’ll discover unique and authentic expressions of Australian Semillon by tasting a fascinating selection of young to aged wines, Semillon blends and a sweet ‘Noble Rot’ style from 1984.

The Australian wine community is renowned for its creativity and willingness to experiment. A new generation of winemakers have challenged stereotypes and brought an exciting diversity to the Australian wine scene. ‘Australia’s Best-Kept Secrets’ seminar highlights the spirit of innovation and experimentation and is a thrilling journey to taste new favourites like Vermentino, Roussanne or Sangiovese.

Australia is home to some of the oldest vines in the world. Generations of caring, innovative winemakers have helped shape some of Australia’s classic wine styles while they also look at new ways to help them thrive in the future.

The ‘Old Vines, New Ways’ lunch tasting is an exclusive opportunity to enjoy some of the Australia’s most extraordinary wines such as old vine Grenache, an aged cool climate Chardonnay and an iconic Cabernet Sauvignon.

Yarra Valley is one of the 25 programme in the Australian Wine Discovered series, it will focus on the region’s history in Australia, the geography, climate and soil, the region’s approach to grape growing, winemaking and also introducing the prominent grape varieties and wine styles in the region. Participants of the program will receive an official certificate issued by Wine Australia acknowledging your attendance.

As one of the 25 Programs under the Australian Wine Discovered series, the course Australian Varieties: Pinot Noir will focus on the grape’s history in Australia, the viticulture of the grape, the winemaking and the characters & flavours profile that make it distinctive form other Pinot Noir around the world. Participants will not only taste 7 types of wines made from Australian Pinot Noir, but also to receive an official certificate issued by Wine Australia acknowledging your attendance.

Riesling is one of the 25 programme in the Australian Wine Discovered series, it will focus on the grape’s history in Australia, the viticulture of the grape, the winemaking and the characters & flavours profile that show how it benefits from a minimalist winemaking approach. Participants of the program will receive an official certificate issued by Wine Australia acknowledging your attendance.

Chardonnay is one of the 25 programme in the Australian Wine Discovered series, it will focus on the grape’s history in Australia, the viticulture of the grape, the winemaking and the characters & flavours profile that show how it benefits from a minimalist winemaking approach. Participants of the program will receive an official certificate issued by Wine Australia acknowledging your attendance.
