The Essence of Bordeaux Wine (Level 2)

This course is designed to improve your tasting skills and enjoyment of Bordeaux wines addressing the notions of appellation, terroir and vintage through a series of horizontal and vertical tastings. An understanding of the balance and harmony expressed in Bordeaux wines will be achieved by tasting a series of straight varietal wines imported directly from France.
Students will participate in a hands on exercise to create their own Bordeaux wine blend. All wines are then lined up in a blind tasting and judged as a class to see who the master blender is.
This course has a wine dinner that will address the all important matching of food with Bordeaux wines.
